The South Herefordshire seniors had a busy week with two away matches across the border.

The first against Raglan was a win for the home side, 6-2. However, the score was not a true reflection of the match as four games were not decided until the last hole.

The first match out was a very close encounter with Eifion Rees and Vin Kilty losing by one hole. The only winners were John Barnett and Simon Rutter 3&2. There were halves for Steve Mills and Peter Sawyer and Peter Chapman and Mike Bishop.

Roger Barnes and Richard Hammett lost 7&6, Jeremy Parkes and Richard Hoare were defeated 3&2, Malcolm Connah and Jim Delahay lost by one hole and Henry Rivers and Roger Watkins lost 4&2.

Victory was achieved at Wernddu 4.5-2.5. Wins were recorded for Phil Bundy and John Barnett 3&2, Mike Boutcher and Tony Haile one up, Ray Causon and Simon Rutter two up, Gerry Newman and Keith Nind 3&2. Eifion Rees and Richard Hammett achieved a half. Henry Rivers & Brian Carver and Malcolm Connah & Martin Thompson both lost by one hole.
