Ross-on-Wye Golf Club’s annual George Griffiths Greensomes Stableford competition was held recently, enabling new members Philip Le Riche and Simon Williams to win their first Ross major with a 43 point total. This was largely thanks to a highly impressive back nine holes, which yielded 26 points including birdies at both 17th and 18th holes.

The in-form Martin Johnson & David Owen were the runners-up with 41 points, followed by Warren Moore & Mark Whitmore and Paul Ford & James Porter, with 39 points each, and in third place, Joe Irvine & Keith New and Richard Brough & Shaun Sturge, with 38 points each.
