Ross-on-Wye Golf Club members from all sections were delighted to have an Christmas Scramble Medal Team event organised by Head Professional Tim Hall and his School of Golf team to take them into their Christmas break.

The occasion became a special Fun-Day for the 104 members who supported the event and who clearly enjoyed and valued the opportunity to demonstrate their golfing skills, while being suitably dressed to reflect the spirit of the Festive time.

The golfing results were no less competitive though, with some impressive scoring by the day’s winners who were; first – Gary Moyle, Graham White, Alex Harris, Simon Buck – 45.7 nett, second – Adrian Berry, Graham Higdon, Dave Higdon, Adrian Hope – 46.8 nett, third – Warren Moore, Steve Price, Lois Price, Hannah Whibley – 47.8 nett, fourth - Joe Irvine, Rich Brown, Tim Wyatt, Colin Bennion – 47.9 nett.

The Best Ladies Team Score was won by Amanda Marshall, Pat Watkins, Kerry Welding and Sian Powell.

There were nearest the pin prizes for Brian Davis, Robin Darling, Tim Lewis, Timmy Fycun, Rich Tromans, Phil Thompson and Phil Winter

It was entirely appropriate though, that the most popular winners on the day should be associated with the Ross Club’s highly influential and progressive squad of Junior members.

Ross Juniors Captain, Sophie Price was pleased to have Cam Haines, Matty Dobbs and Liam Greig in her team to receive the award as the day’s Best Dressed Team.
