The Ross Gazette’s Sports Person Of The Year, Alice Hurley, rode Timor, to win the Advanced 100 Class last weekend at Summerhouse Equestrian Centre near Gloucester.

Alice scored 67% with Timor who is owned by Bernadette King, a grey Lusitano stallion who arrived at her yard only three weeks ago.

Alice completed a fine double with victory in the Prix S. Georges on Karen Bourdon’s Spanish stallion Deseado with 68.4%, beating Timor into second place.

She was particularly pleased to get within 1% of the winner in her first FEI Intermediare 1.
