A recently qualified PGA Professional at Ross Golf Club, who has overcome the limitations of a congential disorder, has shared his story with the Ross Gazette.
Oliver Leett, who has been working with Ross Golf Club's Head Professional Tim Hall for just over a year, was born with Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS). ABS occurs when a fetus becomes entangled in fibrous string-like amniotic bands in the womb, restricting blood flow and affecting the baby's development. Oliver, 25, said: "I have a strange finger defiguration on both hands which can cause a limitation from time to time."
Oliver started playing golf from a young age and decided to follow his dream and become a professional golfer, following the PGA pathway. He said:?"The PGA course has taught me many life skills over the past three years. The coaching part is fantastic and is the avenue I wish to specialise in. Working with all ages and abilities I find it increasingly rewarding."
