A man who suffered a suspected cardiac arrest while in a Ross-on-Wye pub has died.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 3.52pm to the King Charles public house in Broad Street, Ross. A spokesperson said that they had received a call saying that a man had suffered a suspected cardiac arrest and a bystander was performing CPR.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the air ambulance from Strensham was called to the scene. The air ambulance landed at Red Meadow car park but was not required, the spokesperson said: "Unfortunately the man was declared dead at the scene. He was transported to the mortuary."
A post on the King Charles’ Facebook page said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances we will be closed this evening.
“Please do not message team members asking for details as they’ve had a pretty rough day.
“Apologies for any inconvenience caused but we hope to be open tomorrow from 12.”
