Following the passing of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II, the Ross Gazette looks back on previous royal visits to the town.
Ross-on-Wye has a proud tradition of welcoming royal guests, although until the Queen’s first visit on April 24, 1957, Ross had not had an official visit from a reigning monarch for 1,000 years.
