BRIDSTOW Primary School was buzzing with excitement last weekend as families and friends gathered for the much-anticipated Summer Fair.

The event saw a good turnout, with the school grounds filled with laughter, music, and community spirit.

One of the fair’s highlights during the afternoon was a lively performance by local group Harmony Twirltars, who dazzled the crowd with their energetic routines.

The school extends a heartfelt thank you to Twirlstars for sharing their talent, which is often on show at local carnivals, by adding sparkle to the day.

One of the most popular attractions was the wet sponge stall, where brave headteacher, Dan Brearey, and head of school, Andy Pullen, took their places in the stocks.

Current and ex-pupils alike queued up for a chance to soak their school leaders, who were up for being splatter as part of a day of fun.

The school would like to thank the Parent Teachers and Friends Association for their incredible effort in organising such a successful event.

Their dedication and time made the fair a memorable day for all concerned.

Mr Brearey said: “It is always heartwarming to see the enjoyment and fun that our families experience on days like these.

“It is always a great opportunity to come together as a school community and to have some fun. Our small school's family feel, and personal touch is what we are very proud of and the Fair helps to encapsulate this.

With smiles all around and a strong sense of community, the Summer Fair was a true celebration of Bridstow spirit.”

The fair featured a number of games for the young visitors to try out, a tombola and a plant stall along with the ever-popular refreshment stall selling a range of cakes.
