Members of staff from an opticians in Ross-on-Wye ran several competitions in the build up to the Easter weekend and raised more than £170 for Brain Tumour Research.
Freddie Franklin, Elodie Burson, Darcy Burson, Mckenzie Elson and Eva Wright were all chosen as winners of the colouring competition and presented with Easter eggs as their prizes. Heather Amos guessed the name of the Easter bunny and got to take the cuddly toy home.
The team from Specsavers on Gloucester Road chose the lucky winners on Wear A Hat Day (Thursday, March 29th), while donning their caps and hosting a Mad Hatter’s tea party to raise funds and awareness of Brain Tumour Research.
“We’re always keen to get involved with fundraising in store,” says store director, Lee Thomas. “As the dates for Easter and Wear A Hat Day crossed over, we thought why not tie it all together and raise money for Brain Tumour Research.”
Lee added: “We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated and entered our competitions. We were amazed by the excellent Easter egg designs showcasing young artistic talent in the town, well done to all the winners.”
