THE Summer Buzz initiative in Ross-on-Wye aimed at promoting the town has seen the first winners of its prize draws that shops and businesses are running.
The Ross-on-Wye Town Council led campaign aims to encourage tourists and residents alike to stay and shop locally throughout the summer months.
Award-winning butcher Hanks Meat & Game, offered a free barbecue box to the one lucky winner. Katie Mae Arbourne was delighted to hear that she'd won, after a week when she'd been a bit poorly. Katie sent along her husband Philip to collect the prize from Tim Hanks himself.
The winner of a prize draw from Little Chic children's clothing based in Brookend Street was Sarah Florence who said she couldn't believe she'd won, smiling, she said: "I never win anything.”
She took her children Nicole and Logan who were thrilled to help her pick up her prizes - a £30 gift voucher and a boxed Teddy.

The offers keep on coming, including food and drink prizes and the chance for someone to win a weekend's accommodation for two in Ross, which will be advertised further afield.
As part of the Summer Buzz campaign, new bunting has been popping up in and around the town centre. The initiative aims to provide a splash of colour and encourages a community feel.
Throughout the summer examples of street art will be popping up throughout the town centre, particularly around the Market House apron. These examples of street art have been created and painted by Sarah Morton from Art Studio Ross.
