THE Made in Ross art collective has created a fun cryptic quiz, known as the Art Quest.
The quiz runs between August 10 and 16 and the winner will receive a handmade fused glass piece by artist Lisa Coles.
Ross Art Quest is aimed at those who enjoy a fun cryptic treasure hunt and those who love puzzles. Starting on Monday, August 10 there will be a week of cryptic clues, local art, and hidden meanings.
Whether you’re a seasoned puzzler or just love a challenge, this is your moment to explore Ross-on-Wye through a different lens.
The Art Quest is a cryptic clue treasure hunt created by the artists of Made in Ross and is designed to test your lateral thinking, pattern spotting, and puzzle solving instincts.
While it’s not aimed at children, but this can be a great way of involving all the family as a team - especially the puzzle lovers and crossword addicts.
Seven days. Seven puzzles. Seven chances to see Ross on Wye differently. Some clues will be visual. Some will be wordplay. Some may require you to look twice. Daily clues will be released across Made in Ross’ website and social media allowing people to solve the puzzles at their own pace. Participants are asked to submit their completed entry by 4pm on August 20.
The first 50 highest scorers will receive participation prizes with one grand prize for the top solver. The entry form and competition rules can be downloaded from the Made in Ross website and are also available in The Market House (upstairs in the gallery).
Made in Ross is a community of skilled artists and makers living in and around the town. Its artists and makers manage the exhibition space at the Market House and are always on hand to greet and assist visitors between 10am and 4pm.
