MONROSS-Trailblazers Running Club members enjoyed a busy weekend of parkrun action, with runners competing both locally and overseas.

A strong turnout at Ross-on-Wye parkrun formed part of the club's first ever yearrunning.out club competition, where members competed for the highest age graded performances.

Andrew Wright claimed the top male performance, while Trina Sami finished as the leading female, earning the first titles in the new competition.

Club members also contributed in a variety of ways throughout the morning, with runners completing long training runs, pacing fellow participants and volunteering to help the event run smoothly.

The occasion was made even more memorable as Ross-on-Wye parkrun celebrated its seventh anniversary. Participants marked the milestone with a birthday celebration after the run, including a selection of cakes for runners and volunteers.

The Trailblazers were also represented further afield over the weekend, with members taking part in parkruns at Clermont Waterfront in Florida, Oldbridge, Monmouth and Worcester.

The club praised everyone who took part, whether running, volunteering or supporting others, highlighting another weekend of strong participation across the local running community and beyond.
