LOCAL members of Llandegfedd Sailing Club had a successful weekend at the Llangorse Regatta. After a hot Saturday with steady racing, Sunday proved to be a challenge. The sailors fought the howling gales and torrential rain and after four hours racing in those conditions they were bitterly cold and exhausted. But they were soon smiling and laughing together again when they reached dry land.
Angus Whitehead, who celebrated his 15th birthday on Saturday, September 2nd, raced both days single handed in a laser 4.7 to gain a well deserved first place.
