MonRoss Trailblazers stormed to team victory in the 10k Tintern Trot last Thursday night.

Rob Nicholls placed fourth overall in the 172-strong field in 39.46, one place ahead of club mate Gavin Jones, who crossed in 40.25.

Andrew Stephens was 16th in 45.15, with Richard Bevan 22nd in 46.41 and James Fletcher 63rd in 52.54.

Overall winner in the Chepstow Harriers-run event was Jon Like of Parc Bryn Bach in 36.36, while quickest woman was Katie Adams of Spirit of Monmouth, who finished 14th overall in 44.47.

MonRoss took men’s team honours by more than 23 minutes from Harriers in second, followed by Cardiff outfit Les Croupiers and Severnsiders Thornbury.

Les Croupiers took out the women’s competition by eight minutes from Spirit of Monmouth.
