Women of all ages are invited to come together for a comforting cup of tea and open conversation at a special Ladies Tea Afternoon at 3pm on Sunday, October 26, hosted by Ross Court Care Home to mark Menopause Month. The free event offers a relaxed and welcoming space for women to share experiences, connect with others, and find support in a friendly, understanding environment.

Menopause is a stage of life that touches every woman in one way or another, yet it’s often surrounded by silence or uncertainty. This event aims to change that by encouraging open dialogue and connection over something as simple—and meaningful—as a shared cup of coffee.

Guests will be invited to talk about their own journeys, listen to others, and learn more about the physical, emotional, and social aspects of menopause. From hot flushes and sleep challenges to changes in mood or energy, every experience is valid and worth sharing. Whether women are currently going through menopause, approaching it, or simply wish to better understand it, the afternoon promises a sense of community and reassurance.

The atmosphere will be informal and friendly and attendees can look forward to delicious coffee and light refreshments, all offered free of charge.

Agda- Claudia Vasilateanu, General Manager at Ross Court, says the idea behind the event is to help break the stigma surrounding menopause while offering women a chance to connect and support one another: “We wanted to create a space where women feel comfortable to talk about what they’re experiencing. Menopause is something every woman encounters in some form, yet it’s still not talked about enough. This afternoon is about openness, understanding, and friendship—it’s a reminder that no one has to go through it alone.”
